1.Apply your base coat and polish.
I started with a black base and then added Deviantly Darling.

Swatch: Sephora Hippie Hippie Shake & A England She Walks In Beauty

Hi!
She Walks In Beauty has to be the biggest surprise of the year for me.
I thought it was a pretty polish but I didn't expect it to work with all of these polishes.
I only thought it would look good over a gold and pink polish.
But it looks amazing over a mint color, this pink/coral color and I can't wait to use this one over a pale lilac.

Hippie Hippie Shake is pinky coral color with a pearl finish.
It is a pretty color but it misses something to take this polish to the next level.
I think this would be a cool shade for on the toes in the summer thought.
I prefer to keep my toe nails a little less sparkly.
I used 2 coats.

She Walks In Beauty is a topcoat with gold shimmer, light and darker pink hexagonal glitter in a large size and a smaller size.
The gold shimmer gives the base polish and almost metallic finish, it looks really amazing.
I am just in love with that polish!
I used 1 coat on the right side of my nails.

I hope you liked it.

Crackle It Up!: 2True 12 & Angelica Gold Crackle & Attitude Purple Crackle

Hi!
12 by 2true is probably one of the oldest polishes in my racks.
I believe you can't even get 2true in Holland anymore.
In my Love, Bought & Forgotten post for April I told you that I wanted to use this polish.
So that is what I am going to do today.
I also came with the idea to use 2 crackle polishes over each other. I just wanted to see the effect and to be honest I do like it.

2True 12 is a basic purple with a violet purple sheen.
I don't really like this polish, it looks really cheap on the nails and just doesn't look nice.
I used 2 coats.

Over that I used 1 coat of Angelica Gold Crackle.
It is an old gold crackle with true gold shimmer.

Attitude Purple Crackle is dark royal purple with purple and some blue shimmer.
I used one coat over the previous polishes and one layer of Seche Vite, just so Purple Crackle would have an even base to crackle over.

I finished this manicure of with one coat of Models Own 3-in-1.

I hope you liked it.

Rainbow Of Hearts

Hi!
This manicure is another manicure that started out as a picture on Weheartit.com.
I love how the rainbow looks like and this is really easy to do yourself.
If you don't have heart rhinestones you can use any other shape of rhinestones you have.

What I used:
Base Coat: Models Own 3-in-1.
Colors: A England Bridal Veil, China Glaze Wireless Topcoat.
Other Products: Heart Rhinestones.
Topcoat: Seche Vite.

1.Apply your base coat and black polish.
I chose a black with holographic glitter.

2.Apply a holographic topcoat.
You can skip this step if you want too, I just wanted to add a bit more glitter.

3.Place the rhinestones in a single row down the nails.
If you chose to skip step 2 you want to apply a layer of a clear topcoat so you will have something for the rhinestones to stick too. You can also use nail glue.

4.Apply your topcoat

I hope you liked it.

Comparing: Miss Sporty 320 & H&M Blue My Mind

Hi!
Blue has to be one of my favorite colors and I do own a lot of blue nail polish.
And this shade of blue is a color that is great for nail art and a pretty color for the spring, I think that every nail polish junkie need a bottle of this color.

The first polish of this post is Miss Sporty 320.
Miss Sporty polishes have a round bottle with a square bottom that come with 7ml of polish.
The brush is a basic semi wide brush with a rounded tip.

H&M polish comes in a rectangular packaging.
The brush is a basic brush, not a wide one and not a skinny one.
But H&M polish do have an annoying cap, it is a bulky cap that is hard to get a good grip on.
I think that this packaging would be good if you could remove the cap.
H&M polishes have 9ml of product.

These shades are exact dupes of each other.
They are both basic primary blue polishes with a cream finish.
Both also needed 3 coats to be opaque and even.
I have 320 on my index finger and ring finger and Blue My Mind is on my middle finger and pink finger.

Miss Sporty polishes have a decent texture when you first try them but they dry out so quickly.
And this one has a really bad scent, not like a polish scent but more of a weed scent...
The scent does go away as the polish dries though.

H&M polish is good, nothing special.
And Blue My Mind doesn't have that weed scent.
There is not much to say about this polish.
The texture is alright and the polish is opaque enough.

I hope you liked it.

Comparing: Sephora Catwalk Icon & Kiko 242

Hi!
In the first part of the Comparing series I compared China Glaze Midnight Kiss & Ciaté Sand Dune, two gold shades.
For this episode I am going to compare Sephora Catwalk Icon and Kiko 242 for you.

Sephora polishes come in a round flat bottle.
I think that the Sephora logo in the bottle is a nice touch, most of the time companies put a sticker or print the logo on but Sephora actually has the logo made into the glass.
The bottle contains 5ml of product.
The brush semi wide brush with a rounded edge, I prefer these over the squared wide brushes because I find that this makes it easier to apply polish near the cuticle.

Kiko polishes have a traditional rectangular bottle.
It containswith 11ml of product.
The Kiko brush is similar to the Sephora brush but instead of the rounded edge Kiko has a squared brush.

I have Sephora Catwalk Icon on my index finger and ring finger.
I used 2 coats.
Catwalk Icon is a true dark magenta with tiny magenta glitter pieces.
I find that Sephora polishes lean to the thicker side of the spectrum.

Kiko 242 is another dark magenta but is much more redder than Catwalk Icon.
242 also has fine magenta red shimmer and multi colored micro glitter rather than tiny glitter pieces like Catwalk Icon has.
Kiko has the same consistency as Sephora polishes.
I also used 2 coats for this polish.

The weird thing is that when you describe the polishes that sound different but next to each other they look pretty similar.

I hope you liked it.

Crackle It Up: Essence Cool & The Gang & A England Order Of The Garter & Herome Mirror, Mirror

Hi!
Enchantra.eu had a contest on their facebook and the prize was 3 A England polishes of your choice.
I have been wanting to try these polishes for a long time but thought that were a bit too expensive for a brand that I didn't knew a lot about. So I of course entered the contest.
And lucky me! I won!
I was so happy and knew I wanted Order Of The Garter.
But when I tried it on its own it did disappointed me a bit.
It was sheer and took a long time to dry but after trying this combination I found that it works brilliant with a cobalt blue base.

Essence Cool & The Gang is a glossy cobalt blue shade.
It doesn't have any shimmer or glitter.
This shade is discontinued so I am not going to bother you with this polish.
I used 2 coats.

A England Order Of The Garter is a blue that leans to a cobalt blue with bright blue shimmer.
I hoped that this polish would be opaque but it isn't. My first try was using only this polish and I needed 4 coats.
But over another blue polish you will get the gorgeous shimmer without using a lot of coats.
I used 1 coat.

And last but not least I used Mirror, Mirror by Herome.
It is a glittery light blue crackle polish.
I used 1 coat.

I used Color Club Dead Ringer as my topcoat.

I hope you liked it.

Stamping Saturday: Chains & Leopards

Hi!
Weheartit.com and Pinterest are some of the best ways to find inspiration for nail art.
I love scrolling through Weheartit.com and just find some cool manicures that I could try out.
That's also how I cam across this picture.
I just had to try this one.

What I used:
Base Coat: Models Own 3-in-1.
Colors: H&M Dusty Nails, Konad Black Pearl.
Other Products: Stamping Products, Konad M57, Chain.
Topcoat: Konad Special Topcoat.

1.Apply your base coat and paint 1/3 of the nail grey.

2.Paint the other 2/3 of the nail pink.

3.Stamp the leopard print onto the grey part of the nails.
Mask off the pink part of the nail if you want to make sure that the stamp only transfer onto the grey part.

4.Cut the chain to the desired length and stick it on.
You could use nail glue but topcoat will also work.

5.Seal everything in with a final layer of topcoat.

I hope you liked it.

Posh Half Moon

Hi!
I saw a picture of a manicure that had a peach and black stripe pattern and a gold chain.
Since I don't have a gold chain and didn't feel like painting the chain gold I decided to make a golden half moon because I did like the gold and peach combination.
The result reminds me of expensive make-up packaging.

What I used:
Base Coat: Models Own 3-in-1.
Colors: Stargazer 237, Ciaté Sand Dune, Kiko 359, Herome Huntsman.
Other Products: French Manicure Guides.
Topcoat: Seche Vite.

1.Apply your base coat and paint your nails gold.
I thought sand dune wasn't really pigmented so I used Stargazer 237 underneath.
But you can use any gold polish you want.

2.After the gold polish has dried you want to apply the stickers.
I have a tutorial on how to do a half moon manicure.
Just click here and you can read more on how to do this type of manicure.

3.Apply the peach polish to the rest of the nail.

4.Make the black stripes.

5.Remove the stickers.

6.Apply your topcoat.

I hope you liked it.

Comparing: China Glaze Midnight Kiss & Ciaté Sand Dune

Hi!
If you have as much polish as I do you will end up with polishes that look really similar.
At first I thought that I didn't a lot of similar polishes but I was proved wrong.
That was how this new series was born, I am going to compare polishes for you.
This series is not to choose a polish that is better but to tell you the difference and similarities between polishes.
You have to choose for your self which one you would like better.

So lets just get started with the first the first part, gold polishes!

Let's first start with packaging.
China Glaze has a large round bottle that comes with 14ml of polish.
Most polishes by China Glaze have a black cap but the holiday polishes come with a silver one.
The brush is a skinny long one. I really like brush, I find that I can apply polishes really nice with there brushes.

The Ciaté bottle is a mini but the only difference between a full size and a mini is that the mini is smaller and has a smaller cap but the brush and polish are the same.
Ciaté bottles have a weird shape, it is as curved rectangle.
I think it is a cool idea and original.
The brush is also completely different from the China Glaze, it is a wide brush squared brush.
Full size Ciaté polishes come with 13.5 ml.

Now over to the actual polishes.

Midnight Kiss is a yellow gold polish with some shimmer.
I am wearing this polish on my middle finger and pink finger.
I used 2 coats.
China Glaze polishes nice consistency, not too runny but still easy to spread.
And I find that China Glaze polishes stay like this for quite some time.

Sand Dune on the other hand is a lot warmer and more gold than Midnight Kiss.
Sand Dune also has more shimmer.
But I did had to use 3 coats for this polish to cover my free edge.
I am wearing this polish on my index finger and ring finger.
Ciaté polishes are ever so slightly thicker than China Glaze polishes.

I hope you liked it.
