Spring Flowers

Hi!
I am staring to think that I have a lot of posts called "Spring Flowers" or "Summer Flowers"...

But this is once again a manicure with flowers and pastel color.

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence 24/7 Nail Base.

Colors: Paris Memories 234, Gosh Bubble Gum, Ciaté Big Yellow Taxi, Sephora Teeny Bikini, China Glaze For Audrey, Herome Mumbai, Herome Mykonos, Essence Frostbite, Essence Alpine Snow, Sheer Yellow Nail Art Pen, Maybelline Rose Nacré.

Other Products: Acrylic Mold, White Acrylic Powder, Acrylic Liquid, Rhinestones, Sponge.

Topcoat: Essence Fruity Scented Topcoat.

1.Make the flowers with the mold and white acrylic powder.

I will make a tutorial on mold soon.

2.Apply your Base and polish your nail white.

3. Fade the pastel color into the white.

4.Sponge the sheer shimmery color over the whole nail.

Use color that matches. I used a shimmery blue over the nail with the blue fading.

5.Apply the rhinestones.

Again I used rhinestones in the same color as the color of the nail.

6.Apply your topcoat.

You want to apply your topcoat before you are going to place the flowers because it is hard to topcoat your nail with the flowers on.

7. Place the flowers onto the nails.

Your can stick it on when your topcoat still is tacky or just glue it on with nail glue.

Boys Like Girls

Hi!
Here is another band nail art.

This one is for Boys Like Girls.

I love their song Thunder.

Here is the picture that I used.

What I used:

Colors: Paris Memories 234, Paris Memories 236, Ruby Kisses Teal Envy, Essence Lime Up!, Essence Fame Fatal.

Other Products: Nail Polish Remover.

Topcoat: Star Nail Art Sealer.

I used the remover to thin the nail polish and make it watery.
This will make the polish drip a bit and give the the effect that you want.

Just start with the teal color than the lime and save the red for last.

Foo Fighters

Hi!
Finally a new band nail design!

I have the feeling that I haven't done one is such a long time!

This one is for one of the Foo Fighters.

What I used:

Colors: Paris Memories 236, Catrice No Smoke Without Fire, H&M Dusty Nails Grey, Essence Fame Fatal.

Topcoat: Essence Soft Touch Topcoat.

For some weird reason I couldn't take a normal picture.

So I hope they aren't too bad.

I used the grey polish from H&M Dusty Duo Nail Polish and 2 coats of Catrice No Smoke Without Fire over that.

I used the plastic bag technique.

Love, Bought & Forgotten (May/June)

Hi!
It is the end of May.And I can finally say that my exams are over!

I am so happy that I'm done with this year! Studding isn't fun.

But schools out so that means that I can post more often!

Now back to the meaning of this post.

Here are the polished I have bought, loved and forgotten.

The polishes I have forgotten I will use in june.

I really like OPI The "IT" Color.

It is a creamy mustard color.

Funny thing is that OPI The "IT" Color was one of my purchases of the month.

I also bought OPI Hot & Spicy.

For both color I have already done a post on.

From Essence I have bought Hazelnut Cream Pie from the Nude Glam collection.

I will make a separate post to tell you how much I love this polish!

I also bought Essence Gel-Look, just because I needed a topcoat.

And Essence Absolutely Blue.

You are probably thinking:"Are we done yet?"

Nope, 3 polishes left to go!

The bottle on the left is Catrice Genius In The Bottle.

And 2 Claire's Magnetix polish.

I got the purple one and the green one.

And the polishes I want to use in June are:

Essence Copper'ize Me!, Rimmel Gold Infusion and H&M Aqua Splash.

So these are polishes that you are going to see this month (and other polish of course!)

Swatch: OPI Hot & Spicy & NYC Big City Dazzle

Hi!

Just a quick swatch post.

Sorry for the bad picture!

OPI Hot & Spicy is a creamy orange coral color.

I think that this is a great polish for summer.

I will be using this on my toes next time I'm going to polish those.

I used 2 coats.

Over that I used NYC Big City Dazzle.

It is a clear polish with pink/purplish, blue and red glitter and some tiny gold glitter particles.

I used 1 coat.

Swatch: Essence Absolutely Blue, H&M Aqua Splash & Essence Hello Holo

Hi!

Here is a post with the last polish from the Love, Bought & Forgotten post.

Essence Absolutley Blue is a creamy pastel blue nail polish.

It is a light blue that has a lilac undertone.

I used 2 coats.

On my ring finger and thumb I have one coat of H&M Aqua Splash.

It is a clear base with teal, green and aqua glitter.

And on the rest of the finger I have one coat of Essence Hello Holo.

It is a clear nail polish with silver holographic glitter.

Jessie J Cosmic Manicure

Hi!

This has to be my favorite Jessie J manicure.

It looks so nice in the picture.

But my version doesn't look as good. But it still looked nice.

This tutorial is for the bottom left.

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence 24/7 Nail Base.

Colors: Paris Memories 236, Purple Duo Chrome Nail Art Pen, Paris Memories 234, OPI Purple With A Purpose.

Other Products: Gold Leaf, Silver Rhinestones, Gold Rhinestones.

Topcoat: Star Nail Art Sealer.

1.Apply your base and polish your nails black.

2.Sponge on the white and polish those purple.

I used the duo chrome polish on the edges of the white and Purple With A Purpose for the rest of the white.

3.Apply the gold leaf to the nail and glue the rhinestones on.

4.Seal everything in with your topcoat.

Swatch: Catrice Genius In The Bottle

Hi!

I hopped on the bandwagon.

I think that this is most wanted color of the last few months. 

Not specifically the Catrice version but the color in general.

Every nail polish junkie will reconise this color.

It is a dupe for Chanel Peridot.

Catrice Genius In The Bottle is a duochrome polish.

It looks like an olive green but from a different angle it looks brown and if the light hits your nail from another angle it looks gold.

Chanel Peridot is more green while Genius In The Bottle is more yellow.

But it still is a dupe.

If Catrice isn't sold near you but you do want this shade you might want to try to find:

-Ciaté Oil Slick.

-Jessica Iridescent Eye.

-OPI Just Spotted The Lizard.

-Topshop Hidden Treasure.

-Deborah Lippmann Swagga Like Us.

These are all dupes or really similar polishes to Chanel Peridot.

I used 3 coats.

On my thumb and ring finger I used a nail sticker I bought these at Action in a set of 3 sheets.

Stamping Saturday: Jessie J Leopard

Hi!
Jessie J is an artist that everyone knows by now.

Her make-up is always perfect.

But the thing that I always look at are her nails.

I found this picture on google.

And I love every single on of them, especially the one on the left bottom.

I am going to post tutorials on all four of them. 

I don't know when Jessie J wore these manicures or who made these designs.

But I asume that when I search "Jessie J Nails" that these nails are manicures the Jessie J has worn.

Back to the tutorial.

This one is for top left manicure.

What I used:

Colors: Essence Fame Fatal, H&M Blue My Mind, Miss Sporty 301, Konad Black.

Other Products: M57, Stamping Products, Tape.

Topcoat: Seche Vite.

1.Apply your base and tape off the nail so the bottom half is exposed.

You don't have to use tape but it won't give you a crisp line.

I don't use a basecoat on tips but if you are doing this on your natural nail you need to apply one.

2.Peel off the tape and place it a little higher.

3.Polish the middle section yellow.

Don't cover up the blue polish!

4.Peel the tape off and paint the last part of the nail red.

5.Stamp the leopard image on to the nail.

6.Apply your topcoat.

Crackle It Up: Essie Dive Bar & La Femme Turquoise

Hi!
Here is a swatch post.

Essie Dive Bar is a blue with a black base.

It has some blue shimmer and a purple sheen in the bottle.

But on the nail you don't really see that.

Over that I applied La Femme Turquoise.

It is a basic creamy turquoise crackle.

I used 1 coat.

I used Seche Vite as my topcoat.

Swatch: H&M Trio

Hi!
Here are the swatches from the trio I got at H&M.

First off is Metallic Petrol.

The name says it all, it is a petrol color.

It has a metallic finish.

I used 2 coats.

Next up is Spark Me Up!

Spark Me Up! is a clear polish with red, blue and silver glitter in both small square glitter and small hexagonal glitter.

I think that this polish would be perfect for the 4th of July.

I compared it to Essence Circus Confetti.

Circus Confetti is are multi-colored glitter particles in a clear base.

I used 3 coats for both polishes.

The last polish in this set is Metallic Grey.

I don't know why they call it Metallic Grey. It is a basic silver polish.

I compared it to my Saffron polish and Stargazer 232.

And I found out that Metallic Grey is a mix of the other 2 polishes.

It isn't as shimmery as the Saffron polish but has more shimmer than 232.

For all 3 polish I used 2 coats.
