Swatch: Sephora Catwalk Icon

Hi!
At first I wasn't sure about this polish but now that I have tried it I'm happy I got it.

Catwalk Icon is a magenta color with pink glitter.

In the bottle you can see some silver glitter but that doesn't show on the nail.

It is a fine glitter, it's nothing like a glitter topcoat or something like China Glaze Ring In The Red.

I used 3/4 coats.

My nails chipped before I could take a picture so I used more coats that necessary.

But with 2 coats this one will be opaque.

You're A Pretty Little Liar

Hi!

I saw a tutorial by MissGlamorazzi on Youtube.

She did a tutorial on a manicure that the character Hanna wore in Pretty Little Liars.

She used the Sephora Nail Patch Art.

Since I had them too I thought that it would be cool to try this manicure out myself.

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence Allround Talent.

Color: China Glaze Ring In The Red.

Other Products: Sephora Nail Patch Art Leopard Rocks.

Topcoat: Star Nail Art Sealer.

I am going to write a review on these stickers on sunday.

I only used the basecoat on the nail with actuall nail polish and the topcoat only on my thumb.

The only reason that I used a topcoat on my thumb is because I ripped the sticker so the sticker wasn't smooth and I hoped that a topcoat would help.

But it didn't help...

Swatch: Sephora Curaçao & Essence Glorious Aquarius

Hi!

I thought that this polish would be a nice color but I think this is going to be one of those polish that is meant for nail art.

Sephora Curaçao is a blue polish.

The color reminds me of food coloring.

If you have ever put blue food coloring in white frosting you know what I mean.

Or the color of blue play doh! It is exactly that color!

I used 2 coats.

Over that I used the beautiful Essence Glorious Aquarius.

I have talked a few times about this polish.

It is a clear base with aqua hexago glitter, both small and large ones.

And silver hexago glitters that reflects an orange color.

And I'm going to say this again, the clear base is so shiny! Essence should make all clear bases like this one!

I used 1 coat.

I forgot to make a video but when I got home my nail polish chipped, I didn't want to show you that.

Tiger Lily

Hi!

Once again I found a picture and needed to do this manicure.

I am talking about the one on the left, even though the other one is also pretty.

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence Allround Talent.

Colors: Essence Grand-Plié In Black, Essence Wake Up, China Glaze Midnight Kiss, Dark Yellow Polish Pen, Konad White, Konad Black.

Other Products: Tape, Stamping Product, Konad M57.

Topcoat: Seche Vite.

1.Apply your basecoat.

2.Tape the top section of the nail off.

So the part around the cuticle is exposed.

3.Polish that bottom section with a dark polish.

I used a black polish with orange glitter but a cream black polish will work too.

4.Peel the tape off and polish the bottom section orange.

5.Sponge the copper color on the sides and the dark yellow in the middle.

This will give the tiger print more dimension.

6.Stamp the zebra stipes onto the nail.

I thought that the zebra pattern would look weird but it does look like tiger stripes.

7.Make a gold line between the black and orange and stamp on the flowers.

I made the mistake of doing this in the wrong order. But If you do it this way you won't cover the flowers with the gold like I did.

Get The Look: Caviar Nails

Hi!

No I'm not applying food to my nails.

But Ciaté is bringing out a new product called Caviar Nails.

It is a set that comes with a nail polish, beads, a tray and funnel.

But I thought that I could do this without the kit.

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence Allround Talent.

Color: Franken Polish.

Other Products: Clear Beads, Silver Beads, Gold Beads, Fuchsia Beads, Navy Beads, Mint Beads.

Topcoat: Seche Vite.

This is so simple!

1.Apply your basecoat and color

.

2.Apply a coat of topcoat and dip you nails into the beads.

I mixed the beads in a jar and dipped my nail into that.

If you are using 1 color beads you can just dip you nail into the jar that the beads come in.

3.Press the beads into the nail polish.

Don't do this when the topcoat is wet, wait a minute or two.

4.Apply your topcoat.

Here is another version I did on my other hand. 

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence Allround Talent.

Colors: Paris Memories 234, Catrice Godfather Of Pearl.

Other Products: Clear Beads.

Topcoat: Seche Vite.

Swatch: Sephora It's Time To Rock & Catrice Matt Topcoat

Hi!
If you have read my Sephora Haul you know that I was excited to try this polish out.

I thought that this one would look nice with a matt topcoat over it.

But I think I like it better with a normal topcoat.

Sephora It's Time To Rock is a grey/purple polish.

It is packed with (mostly) blue and purple shimmer.

It does have something black to it, it's not the base but I don't think that it has black shimmer.

I don't know what it is but I do like it.

I used 2 coats.

I thought that it would look cool if it was matt.

So I applied Catrice Matt Topcoat over it.

It is a basic matt topcoat.

But unfortunately it didn't. It looks kinda weird now...

But with no topcoat it looks great so with a normal topcoat it will look really nice (I think).

Katniss Everdeen, The Girl On Fire

Hi!
I'm kinda obsessed with The Hunger Games.

I need to read the books as soon as possible.

Because I love the movie so much.

In the movie there is a scene where Katniss is interviewed by Caesar.

Katniss is wearing this beautiful dress, I love it.

On her shoulder she has red and silver crystals.

When I saw this in the movie I knew I needed to do something like that on my nails.

I love the dress, but I can't find a good picture of it...

You can see the red crystals but not the silver ones, believe me she has a few silver ones on her shoulder too.

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence Allround Talent.

Color: Catrice Cotton Candy At Eiffel Tower.

Other Products: Red Rhinestones, Silver Rhinestones, Catrice Ooops Nude Did It Again, Nail Glue.

Topcoat: Seche Vite.

Pontilism On My Sister

Hi!

I did the original version of Klaire De Lys' Pontilism tutorial.

In this post I'm going to show you another version I did on my lovely sister.

What I used:

Basecoat: Hema Basecoat.

Colors: Rimmel Sy High, Sephora Yellow Umbrella, Sephora Teeny Bikini, Catrice Apropos Apricot, Catrice I Scream Peach!.

Topcoat: Seche Vite.

Sephora Haul

Hi!

I went to the Sephora today and bought some nail polish, well a lot of nail polish...

First off I got 2 of the Nail Patch Art.

The one on the left is a glittery leopard print called Leopard Rock! (A10).

And the one on the right is a pink base with white polka dots.

That one is called Cute Dots.

Yeah, those are some really original names....

Both cost 8.90 euro.

And I know, I have a serie that shows you who to make them yourself, and these aren't hard at all!

But I wanted to see why everyone likes these.

And ofcourse I couldn't skip on the nail polish.

When I saw this color I knew I needed this one!

It is Teeny Bikini.

It is a pretty mint color, it is similar to Essie Mint Candy Apple, only Teeny Bikini is brighter.

I think that this would look really cute with a black bikini and a tan in the summer.

The next 2 colors are Picnic In The Park and Curaçao.

Picnic is a basic cream green color and Curaçao is a basic blue polish.

Both a little bit darker in real life than in the picture.

I was curious about this polish.

It is hard to find a good yellow polish.

And after Ciaté Big Yellow Taxi I think it will be impossible it find a better yellow nail polish.

This one is not as pastel as big yellow taxi.

It is similar to Miss Sporty 301, but 301 has shimmer.

It is a nice yellow polish but I think that I'm still going to prefer Big Yellow Taxi.

Both of these polishes were ones that I wasn't sure of.

But I did ended up getting them.

The one on the left is 1ste Night, it is a brownish tea rose color.

I think it's similar to Eyeko Tea Rose but I'm not sure.

I think that this would be a nice polish to wear to work.

The other one is Full Moon Party.

It is a medium purple with tons of shimmer.

These 2 might look the same but they aren't!

The first one is a tangerine color with pink glitter.

I think that this would be really great for the summer.

How the polish look reminds me of Essence Check Me Out, it is a sheer base with a lot of glitter.

It's called Sunrise On The Moon.

The one next to Sunrise On The Moon is Hippie Hippie Shake.

It is a really pretty coral/pink polish with a pearl finish.

And the last 2 are It's Time To Rock & Catwalk Icon.

It's Time To Rock is a purple/grey polish with multi-color glitter.

I can't wait to use this one!

And Catwalk Icon is magenta polish with silver and pink glitter.

In the store the glitter polishes looked horrible, only the ones I bought looked nice to me but now that I look at this polish out side of the store I'm not sure if I will love this polish.

But I will try my best to make this polish work.

From the left to the right:

Swatch: Catrice Captain Sparrow’s Boat & Essie Shine Of The Times

Hi!

As you could read in my last post, I went to The Hunger Games.

I wanted an combination that would be suitable for the movie.

So I used a pearl black base for represent District 12 and the flakies polish for fire.

I used Catrice Captain Sparrow's Boat as my base.

It is a pearl black color as most people would describe it.

But I think that it looks more like a charcoal grey.

I used 2 coats.

And over that polish I used Essie Shine Of The Times.

It is a clear polish with flakies in it.

The flakies reflect mostly orange but in some angles they can reflect green.

I used 1 coat.

I went to the movie The Hunger Games yesterday.

And I loved it!

There are a few thing that were kinda weird but over all I love the movie and hope that they will turn the other books into a movie too.

And ofcourse I had to do a Hunger Games manicure.

Mixed Colors: Mustard Yellow Acrylic & Orange Acrylic &Yellow Acrylic & Gold Acrylic (not shown).

Crackle It Up! 2True 15 & Miss Sporty Sparkle Touch & Miss Sporty Blue Crackle

I posted this combination with out the crackle polish 2 days ago.

So I'm not going to tell you about the polishes because I already did it.

But I do want to tell you that I started my last test week.

Yes, again.

This is my third and last test week but most impotant is that these are my last tests before my exams.

I really want good grades so if I don't post every day you know why.

But I will take pictures and try to post them as soon as possible.

Yesterday I had Chemisty and that is one of the hardest subject for me so I'm really happy that is over.

But there are a few subjects that I still have to work hard for.

So I hope you understand that.

I love it! So of couses I wanted to use colorfull nail polish.

Swatch: 2True 15 & Miss Sporty Sparkle Touch

Hi!

If Cinderella were to be a nail polish she would be this one!

It is so pretty!

I used 2True 15 as my base color.

It is a gorgeous light blue polish with tons of tiny shimmer particles.

The shimmer reflects a almost cobalt blue color and purple.

It kinda looks metallic on the nails.

I used 4 coats.

It still wasn't opaque but I didn't want to apply more polish so that is the downside to this polish.

Over my thumb and ring finger I applied one coat of Miss Sporty Sparkle Touch.

It is a clear base polish with round shaped blue and purple glitter and and tiny holographic glitters.
