Stamping Saturday: Fashion Skull

Hi!
My friend showed my a coloring book for adults in class.
I know! I thought that was weird too! But she started to show me the pictures and the book is actually pretty cool.
It has cool prints and pattern that you could color in.
It also had a houndstooth pattern and that was when my brain started to rush!
This is the outcome.

What I used:
Colors: Paris Memories 234, Konad Dark Purple, Kiko 628.
Other Products: Stamping Products, Essence Image Plates.
Topcoat: Seche Vite.

1.Apply your base coat and paint your nails white.

2.Stamp on the houndstooth image over the whole nail.

3.Stamp the skull image on random places.

4.Apply your topcoat.

I should have done the gold as a base and used the purple for the skulls.
I will try to do this manicure that way and include those pictures later.

I hope you liked it.

In The Kitchen: Bread

Hi!
Let's just take a break from nail polish and talk about food!
Bread, to be more precisely.
I don't know why but baking bread is one of my favorite things to do.
Here are some of the recipes I tried in the last few months.

The first one is a quick one, it is a recipe for s'more crescent rolls.
It is really simple! Just open the package of crescent rolls and cut them into triangles.
Spread some marshmallow fluff on the dough and put some chocolate chips on the fluff.
Roll the crescent and bake according to package.
These are so yummy! I could eat these all day.
They are sweet and tasty, perfect for kids! And since you bake them in the oven you can make these all year round!

These are the dinner rolls by Laura Vitale.
I have to say that these are the first ones I made and that they didn't turnout as great but they still where pretty tasty!
They are a sweet brioche like bread that are a really treat.
I don't eat bread with my dinner but I do eat bread in the morning or for lunch and these make a really nice small breakfast or lunch if you don't feel like eating a lot.

These were a summer favorite.
I can't even tell you how many of these loafs I have made!
I used this recipe but it is in Dutch so if you can't read Dutch I will just translate it for you.

You will need:
300 grams of wholewheat flower,
200 grams of all purpose flour,
10 grams of salt,
7 grams of yeast,
300/500 ml of lukewarm water.

Mix the salt and both types of flour in a bowl.
Add the yeast to a bit of lukewarm water to activate.
Than simply mix the dry with the wet ingredients.
And knead the mixture until you have a smooth dough.
Grease a bowl and place your dough ball in the bowl, brush some oil on the top of the dough ball so the dough won't form a crust, place a damp towel over the bowl.
Let the dough rise for 45 minutes.

After 45 minutes you want to knead the dough again and form the loaf shape.
Make a few cuts in the loaf and let them rise again on a piece of baking paper for 30 minutes.

After the second rising you want to bake them for 20 minutes at 240 degrees Celsius.

The bread is nice and a bit salty, which we really like when we are barbecuing.
But if you don't like you bread as salty you can just use less salt.

What is bread without a spread?
Here is the perfect spread to go with you baguettes.
It is a homemade garlic butter.

I started with my homemade butter.
Just shake a jar of heavy whipping cream for a long time.
You will notice a big lump forming, this is you butter.
The liquid is butter milk, it is perfect for cupcakes!
Separate the butter from the butter milk.
To the butter you want to add some crushed garlic, Italian herbs and a touch of salt.
Mix it together and you will have an awesome garlic butter to go with your bread.

Another recipe I tried is Laura Vitale's Cinnamon Raisin Bread.
I LOVE this one! It is so amazing.
The cinnamon and raisins really give the bread a fall/winter flavor, I am definitely making this bread more often!

That's all for this In The Kitchen post.
I hope you liked it.

Stamping Saturday: Barbie Lace

Hi!
This stamp just screamed barbie pink to me!
And for the rest, I just think that white and black are always a good way to go!

Other Products: Stamping Products, Essence Image Plate.

I first painted my nails pink and I found that the white wasn't a true white anymore.

3.Paint your nail pink, leaving the tips white.

Swatch: Sephora Any Way, Any Where & China Glaze Snow Globe

Hi!
It's been so long since I have done a swatch post!
I mainly didn't do a swatch post because I have been trying to do nail art with my right hand (I am left handed) and I simply didn't had a lot of time to write a swatch post because these post do take a lot of time.
But I finally found some time to show you this manicure.

After my base coat I applied two coats of Sephora Any Way, Any Where.
It is a neutral light gunmetal color.
I know it sounds strange but you have to let me explain.
It has the metallic silvery color that gunmetal has but on the other side it has this warmer tone to it that calms the polish and make it a lot more neutral.
It might come across as a harsh color but in real life it is a lot more toned down.
It has a matte finish.

Over that I decided to use one coat of Snow Globe by China Glaze.
Snow Globe is a clear topcoat with clear multicolored glitter.
The glitter has no color from itself but when the light hits the polish the glitter reflex different colors.
Mostly orange, blue and green.

I finished my manicure with a coat of Seche Vite.

I hope you liked it.

One Stroke Autumn

Hi!
This manicure was from a long time ago, I came across this manicure and fell in love with it!
It is the perfect for the fall and is looks really great.
I got a ton of complements on this manicure.

What I used:
Base Coat: Models Own 3-in-1.
Color: OPI The "It" Color, Black Acrylic, White Acrylic, Brown Acrylic.
Topcoat: Seche Vite

1.Apply your base coat and mustard color to all of your nails.

2.Make the leaves.
I started with an outlining than I picked up some brown and some white and blended the colors on the brush.
After mixing the color I went over the outlining, making sure the brown stayed on the outer part of the leaves.

3.Make a branch like shape and add white dots to the ends.
I chose to do this on different nails but you can also do it on the same nail as the leaves.

4.Add white dots around the leaves to accentuate the shape of the leaves.

5.Apply your topcoat.

I hope you liked it.

Stamping Saturday: Primary School Chalk Board

Hi!
I never knew how I was going to use the images on M17 and M18, just because I find the letters too big to spell out words.
But I just realized that I didn't need to spell out words with these letters.
Than it hit me, I could just stamp the letters and make is look like a chalkboard!

What I used:
Colors: H&M Moody Model,
Other Products: Stamping Products, Konad M17, Konad M18.
Topcoat: Seche Vite.

1.Apply your base coat.

2.Paint your nails a chalk board green color.
Moody Model isn't a chalk board green color but it is the closest I had.

3.Stamp the images one in a random pattern in different colors.

4.Apply your topcoat.

I hope you liked it.
