You Me At Six

Hi!
I did a band nail design for the band You Me At Six.
This is for a friend of mine that is going to their concert here in Holland.
I don't listen to them myself.
So I don't know anything about them.
I needed someone on twitter to send me a picture of their logo which is not as fun as I thought.
I saw another picture which I did on my thumb:
What I used:
Baseocat: Essence Allround Talent.
Colors: Paris Memories 234, Paris Memories 236, Red Acrylic.
Topcoat: Essence Allround Talent.

1.Apply your basecoat and paint your nails black.
Leave the thumb blank.

2.Write You Me At Six on the nails.

I know it is really dull but I didn't want to overpower the thumb.

1.Apply your basecoat and your white polish.

2.Make the red balloons.
The lower you go on the nails the smaller the balloons get.

3.Write YMAS on the nail.
I used the plastic bag technique but sticked the sticker on the wrong place.
If you do it better it will be prettier.

I hope you liked it.

Fall Flowers

Hi!
When I saw this tutorial I liked the concept but I didn't like the red, gold and silver together.
But I didn't know colors to replace them so I just recreated th turorial and ended up loving it.
The tutorial is by LOVE4NAILS on youtube.

What I used:
Basecoat: Essence Ultra Strong.
Colors: China Glaze Midnight Kiss, Hema 08, Essence Fame Fatal, Essence Make It Golden, Paris Memories 234.
Other Products: Essence SOS Nail Glue, Red Hexago Glitter, Gold Rhinestones, Silver Rhinestones.
Topcoat: INM AirTight Sealer.

I ended up loving the combination so much that I ended up using the red with gold glitter on my other nails.
But they did end up different I think that that happend because the gold was peeking through the red a bit in this design.

I hope you liked it.

Fame Fatal & Make It Golden

Hi!
I used this combination in the flower post that I'm going to post after this one.
I'm not a fan of this combination but I think that some people might like it.
I used 2 coats of  Fame Fatal which is a cream red polish and 1 coat of Make It Golden.
Make It Golden is a clear base with golden shimmer and gold hexago glitter.
The hexago glitter are both small and big.
Both polishes are by Essence.

I don't know if I'm going to post a lot of swatch photo's because it's getting darker here in Holland and I don't have good lights.
But I wil figure it out!

I hope you liked it.

Colors: China Glaze Wireless topcoat, BioCura, Paris Memories 234, Paris Memories 236, Essence Fame Fatal, Orange Nail Art Pen.

Starting Out Sunday How To Stamp

Hi!
I already shown you the basic things to buy if you want to start with stamping.
Now I'm going to show you how to use the products.
There are a lot of tutorial on the internet, I hope that this will help as well.

When I say Stamping Products in the "What I used" setion I mean:
  • Stamp
  • Image Plate Holder
  • Scraper
  • Cotton Pad Socked In Aceton/Nail Polish Remover
I don't want to type that everytime so now you know that.
I'm going to show the stamping with a full stamp (covers the whole nail)
But you use the same steps with other stamps.
What I used:
Basecoat: Essence Allround Talent
Colors: H&M Blue My Mind, China Glaze Wireless Topcoat, Konad White.
Other Products: Stamping Products, Konad M73.
Topcoat: Essence Allround Talent.

1.Apply your base color.
This could be any polish by any brand.
I used a blue as base and a holographic topcoat over it.
I don't clean my cuticle area at this point.

2.Apply the stamping polish to the image plate.
You can apply it over the complete image but I like to apply it on one side.

3.Scrape the polish over the image.
Keep your scraper at an angle.
You will end up with this.
4. Roll the stamp over the image.
Be quick with this because the polish will dry.

You can see that the image has transferred to the stamp.
You can't roll the stamp twice over the plate without re-applying the polish.
It won't pick up polish.

5.Roll the stamp over you nails.
Make sure that your base is dry.

Remove all the polish that isn't on your nails.

You have to work quick with stamping, for the rest it isn't hard.
Only the aiming and rolling onto the nails takes a bit of practice but for the rest it is easy.

I hope you liked it.

Braids And Curls

Hi!
I was in the mood for a hair post.
I have 3 braids and one curl style for you.
I like to play around with my hair but I never wear it out because I don't feel comfortable doing it.
I have worn my hair curled to school but not alot because I have to spray hairspray and my hair will be hard and crispy, not a cute look for school!

These are both braids but the left one is a normal one and the right one is a Dutch braid.
The only difference it that for the Dutch braid you go backwards.
So instead of crossing the section in the front you cross over at the back.

A fishtail braid.
Who doesn't know how to do these?

And now the curls.
I used my conical wand and curled away from my face.
And I have my hair parted in the middle.
I tought that the part looked weird but the curls did look good so I put on a christmas hat.

Here you can see it with a beanie because no one is going to wear a christmas hat all year round.
But with a beanie it also looks cute.

I hope you liked it.

The Leaves Are Falling

Hi!
I know that all the leaves already have fallen.
But I wanted to do a fall design but never did it.
Now that I've done it I'm going to give it a fall name.
Even though the leave aren't the best it still looks nice.

I got the idea from this picture on We Heart It.

What I used:
Basecoat: Essence Allround Talent.
Colors: Sephora Jungle Playground, Sephora Military Jacket, Essence Chirp, Chirp!, Herome Mykonos,
Orange Acrylic, Dark Orange Acrylic, Black Acrylic.
Other Products: Sponge.
Topcoat: Essence Allround Talent.

I used Jungle Playground as the main color and sponged Chirp, Chirp! over it and than Mykonos.
And on the tips I also sponged Military Jacket.

I hope you liked it.

Glitter, Glitter And More Glitter

Hi!
Today is the birthday of one of my friends!
Because I already finished my other hand I decided to use glitter on my left hand to have something festive on my nails.

What I used:
Basecoat: Essence Allround Talent.
Other Products: Martha Stewart Charoite, Blue Glitter, Green Glitter, Yellow Glitter, Red Glitter.
Topcoat: INM AirTight.

I applied 2 coats of my basecoat and waited till the second one was a bit tacky and than dipped my nail into the jar of glitter.
You could use a polish under the glitter but I didn't have nail polish to match all of the glitters.
I used the AirThight Sealer because it is a thicker topcoat to seal all of the glitter in.

I hope you liked it.

Catrice Captain Sparrows Boat

Hi!
I haven't shown you a swatch for quite some time.
I bought this color over a month ago and only used it once.
Because I couldn't wear a bright color today I choose this one.

And I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

Fun fact about this polish is that this is a dupe of Chanel Pearl Black nail polish.
And captain Jack Sparrow's boat is called The Black Pearl.
You get the names?
I thought that that was really clever of Catrice.

As the name says it is a pearl black color.
To me it looks like a charcoal grey with a blue tone.
I do like the color and will use it more.
I used 2 coats.

I hope you liked it.

Black Classic Nails

Hi!
About a week ago I showed you this design in navy but now I did it in black.
I also made a Christian Louboutin manicure of it and painted the bottom of my nails black.

What I used:
Basecoat: Essence Allround.
Colors: Paris Memories 234, Paris Memories 236.
Other Products: Broadway Nail Glue, Silver Tape, Black Square Rhinestones, Silver Rhinestones.
Topcoat: INM AirTight.

I like the look of my nails when the bottom is painted but I think that a red at the bottom looks the best.
Very classic for a Louboutin manicure ofcourse.

I hope you liked it.

Rainbow With Black Stars

Hi!
I didn't have any reason to do this.
Or do inspiration for it, I just came up with it and went with it.
What I used:
Basecoat: Essence Allround Talent.
Colors: H&M Blue My Mind, Paris Memories 230, Paris Memories 234, Paris Memories 236, H&M Pink Summer, Essence Wake Up!, Miss Sporty 301, La Femme Lime Cream, La Femme Fairy Dust.
Other Products: Sponge, Paper.
Topcoat: Essence Allround Talent.

I sponged all of the colors on and applied the glitter polish before I made the stars.
I wanted the stars to have a cream finish and the background glitter.
So that's why I did that.

I hope you liked it.
Please comment.
