Stamping Saturday 2012

Hi!

In Australia it is already 2012, here in Holland I have about 4,5 hours till the new year.
2012 is the year of the dragon so I did a dragon inspired design.

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence Nail Sealer.

Colors: Konad Pastel Orange, Konad Yellow, Konad Red, Paris Memories 234, Konad Black.

Other Products: Konad M57, Sponge.

Topcoat: Essence Gel-Look Topcoat.

My thumb didn't work out so I'm not showing that.

I sponged the yellow and red on and than the orange over the whole nail (over the yellow and red too) and than applied a topcoat before stamping to image.

Favorite Products Of 2011

Hi!

I hope everyone had a great christmas or hanukkah.

Or will have a great kwanza.

2011 is almost over, and we are almost starting 2012.

Insane, 2011 had some great moments.

I went to Germany, I saw All Time Low, got new friends,

I worked more on my blog.

Yes, overall it was a pretty good year.

I hope 2012 still will be better, one of the things that is going to be a highlight of the upcoming year is that I'm going to graduate.

But enough of that.

These are my favorite products of this year.

The first one won't be a suprise, it is Paris Memories.

I already talked so much about this brand, it is the cheap China Glaze to me.

The brushes are the same and the polishes itself are similair.

I keep buying the black and white.

The black is 236 and the white is 234.

This is probably my favorite color of the year.

I only got this color a fews months ago but I have used it more than any other polish.

I own a lot of nail polish so it is hard to tell you which polish I love and used a lot, simply because I use so many different color.

This is Essence Hard To Resist.

This is my baby , it is the Essence Nail Art Stylist.

I use this all the time.

It is like a metal toothpick but the end is a bit bigger.

Garnier Roll-On Eye roller.

This is such a nice product.

I have a fair skin. So my dark circles look even darker.

But this makes my under eye area look better.

It brightens the under eye area so I won't look like a zombie.

Sunwell Vitamins.

These are vitamins for hair, skin and nails.

My nails are weak and don't grow fast.

But with these pills my nails grow long and strong.

I take 2 pills a day.

A lot of brands sell these.

This is a weird product.

And an empty one...

It is OralB 3D White Glamour.

My teeth are naturally a bit too yellow for me.

So I used this toothpaste and didn't really believed that it would make my teeth look whiter.

But it did work!

My theeth got whiter, ofcourse not as white as a dentist would get it.

But for something you use at home, it is amazing!

My favorite lipbalms are ofcourse a must.

The blistex lipbalms and the one that my local pharmacy sells are the same.

They both have mentol in them.

Mentol makes my lips tingel which I like, it gives me the feeling that it really works.

But the most important thing is that it keeps my lips nice and moisturized.

This one isn't a suprise.

It is the body shop's sakura scent.

I have a hand cream, perfume and lotion.

The products self are good, they do what they claim to do.

But the scent is the real reason that I love these products.

The scent is so amazing, it is a fresh scent so it is perfect to wear to school.

Andrélon Volume Duo Mist.

I bought this product a few weeks ago but I'm already in love with it.

I use this after I showered, when my hair is damp.

I spray it on my roots.

And than I blow dry my hair.

I don't have a lot of volume in my hair but with this it looks a lot better.

These 4 products are my holy grail products.

I use a lot of heat on my hair because if I don't use any kind of heat my hair will look bad.

I do use a heat protectend but my hair still will be damaged.

These products will make my hair soft and healthy.

I only use the Dove Repair Therapy line (blue label).

I have used the conditioners from the Oil Care line (gold Label).

They are good but I just like too use everything from the same line.

The top pictures are the 2 conditioners and the picture below are the shampoo and mask.

The mask is my favorite, it makes my hair so soft! And it only need 3-5 minutes and than you can rince it out.

Now the random products.

My whole family loves coffee, but I hate it.

We have 3 coffee makers that we use.

My favorite it the Dolce Gusto because that is the only one that also makes other drinks.

The Chococino is my favorite, it is a hot chocolate cappuccino drink.

I also like to put in a few crushed peppermints.

I have been drinking this non-stop for the last months.

I also like the ice tea one in the summer.

Now one of the best game series ever!

The professor Layton series!

I love these, I have all 4 of them.

The first one is in english which is also my least favorite one.

The other 3 are in Dutch.

I love the Box Of Pandora, I think that that is my favorite out of these 4.

The last one I just got for christmas and I'm almost done with the game.

I get them for christmas and finish them before New Years.

I would definitely recommend these if you like puzzels.

And the last one are books.

I hate reading, but with a nice book it becomes quite fun.

These are my favorite series, The House Of Night series by Kristen & PC Cast.

It is about a girl named Zoey who becomes a vampire.

Zoey still has teenage problems, which makes the book so much fun to read.

If you like Twilight you will love these!

Black Rainbow

Hi!
I was looking on the Sephora website, for no reason...
(I do that a lot, just looking if there are new products or looks.)

I saw their Nail Bling stickers.

I was drawn to Black Rainbow.

It is a black base with fading rhinestones.

I didn't want to buy them but I thought that I could re-create them.
It doesn't look identical to the stickers but if you look at the sticker you can see different shades of the colors.
I used 6 different colored rhinestones.

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence Nail Sealer.

Colors: Paris Memories 234, Paris Memories 236, Ruby Kisses Teal Envy, Paris Memories 230, Rimmel Jaded Glamour , Essence Wake Up!, Claire's Smile, Miss Sporty 301, Barry M Black Crackle.

Other Products: Sponge, Broadway Jet Dry, Rhinestones.

Topcoat: Essence Gel-Look Topcoat.

The 2 thing that you want to keep in mind are:

1. Keep everything straight.
   That means that you keep everything horizontally and vertically everything in one line.
2. Make one row purple and the second one a combination of blue and purple,
   For the next line a combination of blue and green and so on.

If you just keep those 2 points in mind this won't be hard to do this.

Anchors In Blue Lagoon

Hi!

I was looking in my Velena History book and saw this design.

I thought that it looked amazing, I did adjust the color because I thought that gold would look better than yellow.

This picture is on page 96 of the Velena History Book.

The blue faiding effect on page 97 (Blue Lagoon) is the base for this design.

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence Nail Sealer.

Colors: China Glaze For Audrey, Light Blue Nail Art Pen, Golden Rose 06, H&M Blue My Mind, Amsterdam Acrylic Deep Gold 803, Black Acrylic, Essence Choose Me, Essence Hard To Resist.

Mixed Colors: Amsterdam Acrylic Bronze 811 & Yellow& Bown.

Other Products: Sponge.

Topcoat: Essence Gel-Look Topcoat.

Easy Candy Cane With A Star

Hi!

A friend of mine asked me to do a easy christmas design.

I know I've done a lot of candy cane designs the last month but for this one I didn't use any detail brushes.

I used the brushes that the polishes come with.

I also used foil and rhinestones but those are optional.

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence Nail Sealer.

Colors: Paris Memories 234, Essence Fame Fatal.

Other Products: Red Rhinestones, Black Rhinestones, Silver Star, Red Foil, Foil Glue, Broadway Jet Dry Nail Glue.

Topcoat: Essence Gel-Look Topcoat.

1.Apply a white polish.

2. Make the red lines with a red nail polish.

3.Use the red foil over the red polish.

4.Stick the star and rhinestones on.

5.Seal in with a layer of topcoat.

OK, so maybe this isn't the most functional but it is pretty.

You can use a smaller star or just make the red stripes.

Prom

Hi!
My school only has one party every year.

That is the christmas prom party.

I've already said that I was going but now I have some pictures for you.

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence Nail Sealer.

Colors: 2True 41, Catrice Cotton Candy AT Eiffel Tower.

Other Products: Black Striping Tape, Black Square Rhinestones, Black Round Rhinestones.

Topcoat: Essence Gel-Look Topcoat.

Here is the final look, I have already posted 2 other color combination of this design.

I curled my hair outwards.

And here is my dress, I took it at the place where the party was held.

So it was dark and I had to take the pictures with my Blackberry.

And the back, the picture is a bit blurry.

But the best part are my shoes!

This was the first time that I wore heels and I choose high ones, I wouldn't recommend doing that!

It hurts so much!

But that have a red sole! They aren't real Christian Louboutins but it is a start!

Hi!

Who doesn't know Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer?

This is a design based of a picture that I saw on Google.

But I had PE the day that I did this design so my thumb got chipped and the rest of the nails started to feather at the tips.

But it was worth it to me, we squashed and played a dance game, it was so much fun!

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence Nail Sealer.

Colors: Hema 11, Paris Memories 234, Paris Memories 236.

Other Products: Red Glitter.

Mixed Colors: Brown Acrylic & White Acrylic.

Topcoat: Essence Gel-Look Topcoat.

Christmas Ball

Hi!

I don't know if christmas ball is the right translation..

But I did this design on Tuesday but because I had to make a report and prom was coming up and so is christmas, I didn't had a lot of time to post.

I will be posting at least 2 more posts today and maybe a post tomorrow.

What I used:

Basecoat: Essence Nail Sealer.

Colors: Catrice Marilyn & Me, Paris Memories 236, BioCura, Stargazer 237.

Topcoat: Essence Gel-Look Topcoat.

I think that this doesn't really need an explanation.

Just make the circle and out line it, make the hanging part and outline.

Easy and festive!

Christmas/ New Years Polishes

Hi!

Here are my nail polish picks for christmas and new years.

Because it is hectic during this time of the year, not everyone has time for nail art.
So here are a few color that I would use for christmas and new years.

This one you could already see in the Fall and Winter polishes.

It is L'oreal 731.

This is a blue polish that almost looks black.

In the bottle it has some shimmer but on the nail it look like a sheen.

L'oreal 731, 1 coat.

This is Moody Model by H&M.

It is a dark green polish.

But it has a bit of a blue tone so it isn't as green as a christmas tree but still looks festive.

I don't have a swatch of it but I always need 2-3 coats.

What is christmas without a pine green color?

This is a polish by Paris Memories 243.

It has a cream finish.

Paris Memories 243, 2 coats.

You can't go wrong with a red polish!

This is Essence Fame Fatal, it is just a cream red polish.

Every brand has a polish like this.

So just pick one by your favorite brand.

This baby is Femme Fatal by Teeez.

It has a red base that kinda leans to raspberry to me.

It also has a lot of pretty glitter particles, most of them reflect red or gold but some reflect blue.

Teeez Femme Fatal, 2 coats.

2True 41 is a metallic red polish.

Perfect for this time of the year.

Essence Fame Fatal, 2 coats.

2True 41, 4 coats.

A glittery red nail polish is another polish that you can't go wrong with.

I mixed this one myself, I used a cream red polish and added different sizes glitter.

But Ruby Pumps by China Glaze is one that a lot of people like.

A silver is a nice change during the holiday.

Our tree is decorated with silver ornaments.

And I think that a lot of people have silver decoration, so you could match your tree.

This could also be a cool color for new years, it is a bold color.

This is Catrice Silver Diamonds.

It is a cream silver color.

It isn't metallic, that's what makes this polish so special.

But you can't get it anymore, but there might be another brand that has a similair polish.

Silver not your thing?

What about gold?

I like gold nail polish but only if it is shimmery.

These polishes are the same, they are dupes of each other.

The first one is Miss Sporty 312 and the other one is China Glaze Midnight Kiss.

Miss Sporty 312, 2 coats.

Catrice Silver Diamonds, 2 coats.

China Glaze Midnight Kiss, 2 coats.

What screams new years more than glitter?

Here are 3 fine glitter polishes I like.

The first one is a clear base with gold glitter.

The brand is La Femme and the name Gold Glitter.

The polish next to is, is a clear bases polish with gold and teal glitter.

In the bottle it looks dark blue but on the nails it is a clear base.

And the last one is a pink jelly base with multi-colored glitter.

La Femme Gold Glitter, 2 coats.

La Femme Sapphire Glitter, 2 coats.

Paris Memories 254, 2 coats.

For some reason I like to wear a black polish with glitter on new years eve.

This is I Wear My Sunglasses At Night by Catrice.

It is a black polish with purple and green glitter.

Catrice I Wear My Sunglasses At Night, 2 coats.

If you want something more thab a fine glitter, then these 2 are the polishes for you!

The first one is Essence Twins Julia.

It is a clear base with square and round holographic glitter.

This looks amazing over a navy polish for example the first polish in the post L'oreal 731.

Essence Circus Confetti is like a party in a bottle.

It has so many different kinds of glitter, I love this over a dark purple or a black polish.
