I'm Legally Blonde

Hi!
I saw this picture on WeHeartIt.
And I instanly knew what I wanted to do.
After I finished the manicure I couldn't help thinking of the movie Legally Blonde. So that is why I chose the name.
What I used:
Base Coat: Konad Base Coat.
Colors: Gosh Bubble Gum, Paris Memories 236, Herome Snow White, OPI Brisbane Bronze.
Other Products: Small Pink Rhinestones.
Topcoat: Essence Gel-Look Topcoat.

1.Apply your base and paint your nails white.

2.Paint your free edge pink.

3.Make the brown spots.
I recommend you using a dotting tool.

4.Outline parts of the brown spots with the black.
I prefer to use a toothpick for this.

5.Apply a layer of topcoat and place the rhinestones on the french tip.
You can also use nail glue.

6.Apply a layer of topcoat to seal everything in.

I hope you liked it.

Stripes And Studs

Hi!
I have posted a Studs Manicure falmost a year ago. (I the aren't real studs but I think that they kinda look like it.)
And since studs and metal details are going to be a trend this fall I thought that I would show you this manicure again.

For the other nails I just wanted to use my foils again and thought that a black stripe would tie the look together.

What I used:
Base Coat: Konad Base Coat.
Color: Paris Memories 236.
Other Products: Foil Glue, Gold Foil, Gold Beads, Black Striping Tape.
Topcoat: Star Nail Art Finishing Sealer & Essence Gel-Look Topcoat.

1.Apply your base coat and paint your thumb and ring finger black.

2.Apply the gold foil to the other nails.
If you don't know how to apply foil please click here.

3.Place the tape over the gold foil and seal it in with a special foil topcoat.

4.Apply a layer of topcoat over the black nail polish and place the gold beads.

5.Seal in the beads with a final layer of topcoat.

I hope you liked it.

Neon Fading French Tips

Hi!
I have seen this manicure on WeHeartIt.com and instantly fell in love with it.
I think it looks really cute and I am definitely doing this manicure more often.
What I used:
Base Coat: Konad Base Coat.
Colors: China Glaze Pink Voltage, Neon Yellow Nail Art Pen, China Glaze Kiwi Cool-Ada, Ruby Kisses Teal Envy, Paris Memories 230, Essence Hazelnut Cream Pie.
Mixed Colors: China Glaze Pink Voltage & Neon Yellow Nail Art Pen (1/1)
Other Products: Konad Glitter, Tape, nail Clippers.
Topcoat: Seche Vite.

1.Apply your base and paint your nail a nude color.
My nails were a little bit stained from the red polish in my Dirty Work manicure.
So I used a nude but if you don't want to use a nude you can also make a white french tip.

2.Cut out a piece of tape with you clippers.
This will give the tape a curve and will make it just like the french manicure stickers.

3.Place the tape, paint the nail with 2 colors and blend them.
I went from pink to orange to yellow to green into blue and finished with purple.

4.Before the polish dries, sprinkle some glitter over the french tip.

5.Remove the tape and apply a topcoat.

I hope you liked it just as much as I do.
Please comment.

Tag: Nail Polish Questions

Hi!
I really liked the questions for this tag and I wanted to answer them.

1.How many polishes do you own?
I get this question a lot. And sometimes I don't even want to answer it because people just want to make stupid jokes about the size of my collection. But most people just ask it out of curiosity.

I just counted my polishes and my total is 304....
You don't need that much polish to do nail art! I just love nail polish and I kinda collect them.

2.From which brand do you own the most polishes?
Essence! If you have read my last Brand By Brand you could have seen that I have a lot of polishes from them. I just really like the brand.

3.Which color do you have the most of?
Blue! I love blue and teal color. I think that it looks the best on me.

4.Are there colors or finishes that you don't own?
I have creams, glitters, flakies, crackle, shimmers, glossy, matte, duo chrome and holographic.
But I don't own a croc nail effects. But then again I am not really interested in that.
And color wise I think I can't think of a color I don't own.

5.Which polish do you wear the most?
Gosh... There isn't a polish that really stands out.
But I think I wear Essie Mint Candy Apple the most.

6.Which polishes make you wonder why you haven't thrown it away?
For the longest time I didn't want to throw my Eyeko polishes away but those had their best time so I finally got rid of those.
A polish that I still have but never use is Gosh Purple Heart, it looked so nice in the bottle but horrible on the nails.

7.Do you use base coat.
YES! Nothing is worse than a red or green polish without a base coat! Those stain really bad!

8.Do you use topcoat.
Not always. Over nail art I always apply a topcoat but if there isn't a name of a top coat I haven't use any.
Especially over swatches, I remove those pretty quick. So I don't bother using a topcoat.

9.Which method do you like the most, stamping or freehand?
Freehand! I like stamping but freehand is for me the best thing.
I love to just grab my polishes/acrylics and brushes and play around.
And free-handing for me is like painting on canvas for painters or song writing for a musician.

10. Shimmer/glitter or a cream finish?
I prefer a base color to be a cream because I can layer a glitter topcoat over it but you can't take the glitter out.
And I also think that a cream can look really sophisticated. I love to wear a taupe/nude polish with a cream finish if I don't want to go all out.
And glitter is a pain to get rid off!

11.Do you feel naked without nail polish on?
At first I really felt awkward. But now I don't feel as weird, I walk around the house or go shopping without nail polish. But when I go to school I do wear nail polish.

Feel free to do this tag too!
I got the questions from this page.

I hope you liked it.

Hi!
I think I have done a swatch post for this one in the past but I am not sure.
Either way I haven't shown you this polish with good pictures.

Teeez Femme Fatale is a cherry red color with a jelly finish.
The special thing about this polish is that it has small ripped pieces of red, violet and yellow gold glitter.
I used 3 coats.

I hope you liked it.

Band: All Time Low Dirty Work

Hi!
Today is the day! I am going to see All Time Low! Again....
I am so excited! I had so much fun last year so I hope tonight will be just as awesome.
Of course I have to paint my nails All Time Low style.
So here is my manicure inspired by their album Dirty Work.
What I used:
Base Coat: Konad Base Coat.
Colors: Herome Toxic Apple, Paris Memories 236, Paris Memories 234.
Other Products: Plastic Folder, Sponge.
Topcoat: Color Club Dead Ringer.

1. Apply your base coat and paint the bottoms of your tips black.
If your nails aren't long enough or you don't want to do it you can skip this and the next step.
But do apply your base coat!

2. Paint your nails white.
The black shows through the red polish if you don't use a white base.

3.Apply the red polish.

4.Sponge a bit of white on the tip.

5.Apply the decals.
I made them my self. You can also free hand them if you want.

6.Apply your topcoat.

I hope you liked it.

Personally I am not a fan of this color on my nails.
I like the color in the bottle but not on me.

Nail color 3, Ticket To The Show- Black polish with purple, gold and green shimmer.

Nail color 3, Front Row Or Backstage- Sheer brown with gold glitter.

That was a long one!
I also own some other products like image plates and a dotting tool and glitter.
But I just wanted to show you the polishes.

I have too say that Essence has repackaged their nail polish.
I really don't like it, the old packaging doesn't look as cheap and childish.
The new packaging does! And the polishes are more expensive and I don't think that they come with more polish. So that is a bummer!

The brush is decent, normal sized.
And the cosistency is also normal but they do tend to get really sticky after some time.
Essence does have a great color selection and their limited editions also have fun colors!

Essence doesn't test on animals! So that is a good thing.

Overall, I do like the polishes, their image plates are also nice.
I love their dotting tool and I am happy that they have brought out a double sided one!
I highly recommend their Nude Glam polishes, they are like a foundation in nail polish form!
I also like the fact that they have products for nail art.
And that they new products every 6 months I believe.

I hope you liked it.

Stamping Saturday: A Field Of Pink Ombre Flowers

Hi!
This idea just came to me a few minutes ago.
I was really exited to see the results so I had to try it out for this Stamping Saturday.
What I used:
Base Coat: Konad Base Coat.
Colors: Konad White, Essence Think Pink, Gosh Bubble Gum.
Other Products: Sponge, Stamping Products, Konad M41.
Topcoat: Konad Topcoat.

1.Apply your base coat and paint your nails a bubble gum pink color.

2.Sponge the darker pink on the free edge of the nail.
Make it look like the colors fade into each other.

3.Stamp on the image.
I stamped it across the nail. To fill up the whole nail I needed to stamp it 3 times.

4.Apply your topcoat.

I hope you liked it.
