Zodiac: Pisces

Hi!
Since the sign for pisces are fishes I wanted to do something with fishes.
I used a scale pattern on my nails.
And the colors I choose are ocean colors.
What I used:
Basecoat: Essence Nail Sealer.
Colors: H&M Blue My Mind, OPI Purple With A Purpose, Misa The Great Green Whatsit,
OPI Austin-tatious Turquoise, Essence Hard To Resist, Konad White, White Acrylic, Paris Memories 236.
Other Products: Sponge.
Topcoat: Essence Allround Talent.

I used the Konad polish as a base and applied the colors random to my nails.
Over the sponged colors I applied Austin-tatious Turquoise.

I hope you liked it.

Colors: Gosh Miss Grey, White Acrylic.
Other Products: Nail Stickers.

Hi!
This one is for gemini.
I think that this is going to be the most colorful one.
So the reasons for these colors are:
Yellow because that is the color for gemini.
Lavender is one of the plants for gimini so that's why the lilac color is in it.
And the planet is Mercurius so that's explains the orange color.
What I used:
Basecoat: Essence Nail Sealer.

Starting Out Sunday: Piercings

Hi!
A nail piercing is a way to decorate your nail.
It is quite extreem, I haven't seen people where them here in Holland.
But there are a few things you want to know before you get started.
  • Your nail (or fake nail) has to have a free edge.
That means that your nail should be longer than your finger.
  • Don't put it in your thumb
You can do it if you want but I don't recommend it, it will be hard to do everyday things
  • Don't wear it if you know you are going to do a lot with your hands
  • Don't try to wear more than one on each hand
You can wear more if you want but I think that that will be too much.

What I used:
Buffer, Drill, Piercing, Ring.

There are a lot of kinds of piercings, I have even used a safety pin as a piercing.
Essence sells a kit for piercings, it comes with a drill, 4 rings and 2 piercings.
But you can find kits also on Ebay.

Most drills are like this one,
You can srew off the top and screw it to the end so the drill will be longer.

The drill looks like a power drill that you would use for wood.
But don't use a power drill, only use a nail drill!

And ofcourse the top can go over the drill when you don't use it.

And the rings come in different sizes, I would recommend to use a small one.
And use one in the color of the piercing.
So if the piercing is silver you use a silver ring and if the piercing is gold you use a gold one.

Now on to the tutorial.
1.Start of with removing your nail polish.
2.Take the drill and make a hole in the free edge.
3.Buff the nails.
Otherwise it will cause splitting in the nail, than you will have to cut the nail and you can't wear the piercing.
4.Paint your nails.
Let your nail polish dry very well.
5. Put the ring through the hole and hang the piercing in the ring.
6.Close the ring with your fingers or a pair of pliers.

Here you can see the nail before.

And after.

I would recommend to polish your nails before you put the ring in,
because if you put the ring in first you will have to polish around it and that is not an easy thing to do.

I hope you liked it.

Stamping Saturday Feathers

Hi!
In my recent haul you could see that I bought the new Essence image plate.
I loved it so much that I could wait to use it.
What I used:
Colors: Konad White, Konad Black, Gosh Miss Grey.
Other Products: Stamping Products, Essence Image Plate.
Topcoat: China Glaze Wireless Topcoat.

I used a tip as a fake nail, the size is 6.
I wanted to order large ones and for some reason I thought that 10 would be the biggest.
I know, that was pretty dumb.
But I have learned I now I know that I need to order a different size next time.

I hope you liked it.

Swatch: Nothing Else Metals

Hi!
This is my first swatch post with a magnetic polish.
They are hard to work with because if you hold the magnet too close you can touch your nail polish and there will be an indent.
But if you hold it to far the polish won't react.
And if you don't work fast enough the polish won't do anything at all.
Nothing Else Metals is a silver colored polish.
But it has olive undertones, so it's a unique polish to me.
It has a metallic finish.
It was limited edition so you can't get it anymore.

I used 2 coats.

I hope you liked it.

Haul: Essence

Hi!
The new Essence products are available.
So here are the products I bought.
I bought  the new magnet.
I have the one from the Metallics collection.
But that one makes only stripes and this one has a star pattern.
Costs: 1,79 euro

And the new Stampy set.
I only buy these for the image plates.
The stamp and scraper are really bad, but this image plate is really nice.
I love this one, I think that it's one of my favorites.
It's called Be Creative but all of their sets have that name.
Costs: 2,79 I believe.

I have a Stamping Saturday coming up with this image plate.

Here you can see the magnet.

It has a slot in it.
You put a finger of the opposite hand in and hold it above and the pattern will appear.

Here you can see the magnet.

I applied a bit of polish so you can see the pattern.
Don't do this to your magnets!
I cleaned this directly after I made this picture.

The next product is a new one.
It it the Nail Color 3.
I got the one in Ticket To The Show & Front Row Or Backstage.
Ticket To The Show is a black based polish with green, purple and gold shimmer.
It is a dupe for Catrice I Wear My Sunglasses At Night.

And Front Row Or Backstage is a smokey grey base with gold and brown shimmer.
These remind me of the Nail Twins, a base color and a glitter topcoat that's meant to go over each other.
These have less product but are also cheaper than the Nail Twins.
But for the amount of product I think Essence is charging too much.
2 color, 4ml each for 2.99 euro.

Here are 2 of the new Special Effect! Toppers.
The first one is Glorious Aquarius.
I hate the name but I love the polish.
It is a clear base with different sized turquoise hexago glitter.
I think that this would look really nice over Rimmel Sky High.

The other one is Copper'ize Me! it looks like a copper base but it is a clear one.
It has a lot of copper glitter which makes the base looks like a copper color.
It also has some multi-colored glitter in it.
Both cost 1.79 euro.

And ofcourse Essence also has  new colors for the Colour & Go line.
Most of the colors weren't special, they were pretty but I thought that I already had something similar or just didn't want it.
But this is a nice colors.
It's called Gold Fever.
Once again it's a clear base but because this polish has a lot of glitter you won't see your natural nail after 3/4 coats.
It has mosly darker gold glitter and a few red ones.
I think that this will look gorgeous over a red or with a red crackle over itself.
Costs: 1.29 euro.

And Essence Also has 3 new magnetic polishes.
Magnetic polish has been a upcoming trend lately, a few brands have been bringing them out.
Essence has had them for a year (I think).
This one is Love Potion, it is a copper but red undertones.
Costs: 1.99 euro.

And I bought the new Studio Nails Allround Talent.
I like the original one so I wanted to see if this one is any diffrent.
Costs: 1.79 euro

From left to right:
Love Potion, 2 coats.
Ticket To The Show, 2 coats.
Front Row Or Back Stage?, 2 coats.
Ticket To The SHow with Front Row Or Back Stage? 1 coat each.

From left to right:
Gold Fever, 2 coats.
Glorious Aquarius, 2 coats.
Copper'ize Me, 2 coats.

I hope you liked it.
