Swatch: Essence Ticket To The Show & Front Row Or Backstage?

Hi!
These kind polishes are really nice but I never really use it.
I am not sure why because the polishes are just fine.
I believe it is because for some reason I tend to not use duo polishes, I also don't use my Dusty Nails Duo from H&M.

Ticket To The Show is the base color of this duo.
It is a black polish that purple, green, gold and fuchsia glitter.
Ticket To The Show is a dupe for Catrice I Wear My Sunglasses At Night but the glitter in Ticket To The Show is more noticeable.
I used 2 coats.

The topcoat part of this duo is Front Row Or Backstage?.
It is a sheer taupe with gold glitter and shimmer and a few gunmetal glitter pieces.
It is the perfect color to give a nail polish a rocker chic finish.
Ticket To The Show gives this polish a basic black base, the multi colored is hardly noticeable because of Front Row Or Backstage?.
I used 1 coat.

I hope you liked it.

Swatch: Essence Love Potion!

Hi!
This is a polish that I see as one of my biggest fails ever.
I don't understand what I was thinking when I bought this!?
I really don't like the color on me and the magnetic part is just weird.

Love Potion is a red toned copper polish with a metallic finish.
The magnetic part is lighter and more silver.
I don't like how it looks with the copper color.
It isn't a bad polish but the color is just horrible.
I can't even thick of a skin tone that could make this polish work.
I used 2 coats.

I used the net magnet by Only You.

I hope you liked it.

Cheetah Girl

Hi!
My foils have been neglected for a few months.
I don't even know why I haven't been using them because I really enjoy using my foils.
And when I saw this foil again I couldn't wait using again.

What I used:
Basecoat: Models Own 3-in-1.

I got the foil from naildelights.com

2.Apply your foil glue to the index finger, middle finger and little finger.

3.Apply the foil to those nails.

4.Apply a layer of topcoat and apply the glitter.
I applied the old gold glitter to the top part of the nail and the true gold glitter to the bottom part.

Get The Look: Essie Sleek Sticks Glam It On

Hi!
This has to be the easiest Get The Look ever!
Everyone can do this one!

What I used:
Colors: Essie Natural Cotton.
Other Products: Catrice Ooops! Nude Did It Again, Clear Rhinestones, Tape.
Topcoat: Essence Fruity Topcoat.

1.Apply your base coat and nude polish.
I used an eye shadow to make the fake nail nude but if you are doing this on you own nails you can just use a sheer nude polish.

2.Apply a piece of tape to the bottom part of the nail.

3.Apply a layer of topcoat and place the rhinestones in rows making sure that they are in a straight line both vertically and horizontally.

4.Apply your topcoat.

The only difference is that the Glam It On Stickers has smaller dots that are a flatter than rhinestones.
If you use 1mm rhinestones you will achieve the perfect result.
I didn't had 1mm rhinestones but I still think that this looks pretty good.

I hope you liked it.

Swatch: Max Factor Intense Plum & Sephora Full Moon Party & Max Factor Fantasy Fire

Hi!
My mum bought this color back in the summer but this one ended up in my racks.
Not that I am complaining about that!
But I didn't really use this polish after my mum gave it to me.
It was about time I was going to use this polish.

Intense Plum is a plum with a slight magenta undertone.
It has a creamy finish.
I am not a fan of Max Factor polish.
The bottle doesn't contain a lot of product but costs 6,95 euros here in Holland.
I think that is a lot of money for such a small amount of product.
And the texture is just bad. When I take the brush out of the bottle it feels like there is almost nothing on the brush.
 I just don't like it!
I used 2 coats.

On my ring finger I have 2 coats of Sephora Full Moon Party as a base.
It is a royal purple with blue and violet shimmer and silver micro shimmer.
I thought that since Fantasy Fire and Full Moon Party had the same royal purple base they would look nice over each other but Full Moon Party overpowered Fantasy Fire and I couldn't really notice Fantasy Fire anymore.

Over all nails I applied 1 coats of Max Factor Fantasy Fire.
Even though I hate Max Factor polish I just had to have this polish.
It is a gorgeous sheer royal purple base with burned orange/red micro shimmer that reflects green at a different angle.
The royal purple give the polish a cool toned look while the micro shimmer warm it up.
It looks amazing in sunlight.

I hope you liked it.

Get The Look: Essie Sleek Sticks So Haute

Hi!
I kinda forgot I still did this series. I haven't done one is months.
But after watching a random haul I saw that Essie also sells nail stickers.
After looking at the pictures I realized that some of these are really simple to make yourself.
For most of them you do need rhinestones or beads.
But you can buy the for a lot less money than one pack of nail stickers.
And you can get more manicures out of them than one pack of nail stickers.

This post is going to show you how to get a similar look to the So Haute pattern.

What I used:
Colors: Herome Toxic Apple.
Other Products: Clear Beads, Gold Rhinestones.
Topcoat: Models Own 3-in-1.

1.Apply your base coat and apply your red polish.

2.Apply your topcoat and place a single row of gold rhinestones, place 2 rows of beads above the rhinestones followed by a row of rhinestones and 2 more rows of beads.
Continue this until you have filled the whole nail.
You could use clear gel or pearls or rhinestones in the same color as your base instead of the clear beads.

3.Apply your topcoat.

The stickers have the width of single row of the clear beads but I was running low in gold rhinestones so I just did 2 rows. So I cold do the whole nail.

If you don't like the red and gold you can always try different colors.
I think that navy and silver would look nice too.

I hope you liked it.

Stamping Saturday: Cotton Candy Sky

Hi!
I'm sorry I didn't post last week!
I was busy and just couldn't post a Stamping Saturday.

Here is a new one with once again stars.
I just love stars but you can also use a simple flower image.

What I used:
Colors: Paris Memories 234, Pairs Memories 258, Essie Bikini So Teeny, Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream, La Femme Fairy Dust, Konad Black Pearl.
Other Products: Stamping Products, Essence Image Plate, Sponge.
Topcoat: Konad Topcoat.

1.Apply your base coat and white polish.

2.Apply your colors to the sponge and dab the sponge multiple time on the nails.
The sponge will give you the gradient and by dabbing it on a few times you will build the color up.

3.Apply a glitter topcoat.
This will also help you to blend the colors just a bit more.

4.Stamp the image on.

5.Apply your topcoat.

I hope you liked it.

Review: Hema Nail Patch

Hi!
Hema opened a new beauty store in Haarlem and I was just looking around, till I came across these nail art patches.
I thought they were cool and that I should try them out.
After the first try I already knew how these were going to be!

The packaging is really simple, a sheet of 16 nail patches in a cardboard packaging.
The back has the instructions:
Clean the nails, measure the patches and stick them on.
Just like any other nail sticker/patch.

But when I opened the pack I already knew these were bad!
They are really thick and remind me of something you would give you daughter of 5 for a party.
But I wouldn't even buy these for that!

They don't stick to the nails and you can peel them of in one piece.
They won't even last you an hour.
And the application is even worse!
You can't get them smooth on the nails and filing the excess of is impossible!

Look at my tips, the patches simply don't stick to the nails!

Overall, these patched are annoying, too thick, don't stick and won't apply normally.
I payed 4,50 euros.

I hope you liked it.

Ombre Tape Manicure

Hi!
Guess who was stuck on Weheartit.com.
Yes! I was.... Ok maybe I shouldn't be to proud of my obsession with Weheartit.com...
But I do find cute shoes and cool manicures!

I found this picture and liked the pinkie a lot.
I decided to try it but when I wanted to outline the stripes it just didn't work so I just went with only the lines.

What I used:
Colors: Herome The Huntsman, Konad White, Sephora Military Jacket, Kiko 390,
Sephora Picnic In The Park, Essie Mojito Madness.
Other Products: Striping Tape, Sponge.
Topcoat: Essence Fruity Topcoat.

What I used:
Colors: Paris Memories 234, Models Own Luis Lemon, Models Own Beach Party,
China Glaze Pink Voltage, China Glaze Purple Panic.
Other Products: Striping Tape, Sponge.
Topcoat: Essence Fruity Topcoat.

1.Apply your base coat and base color.
The base color will be the color of your stripes.

2.Stick the striping tape on.

3.Sponge colors on.
For the green one I first sponged white on to the nails and then randomly added different shades of green.
For the neon one I just applied the polishes to the sponge and made a gradient effect.

4.Remove the tape.

5.Apply your topcoat.

I wore the neon one on my own nails and got a lot of compliments.
I really like the way the neons look together but you can always use colors you like.

I hope you liked it.
